About

Why we built this

ArcPath is a small, independent project from YellowArc LLC, built by pilots who depend on great mechanics every day.

Every flight we operate depends on certificated aviation maintenance technicians, and the industry needs more of them than the pipeline currently produces. When we talked to people interested in the field, the same questions kept coming up: Which path is right for me? How long will it take? What will it cost? Does my military experience count?

The answers exist, but they're scattered across regulations, school sites, base education offices, and word of mouth. ArcPath pulls them into one clear, honest starting point, and then points you to the official sources that make the real decisions.

How we work

Honest about uncertainty

We show ranges, not promises, and say plainly when something is an estimate. The FAA decides eligibility; we help you get ready for that conversation.

Private by default

The Military Experience Mapper runs entirely in your browser. We don't ask for accounts, and we never see what you type into it.

Built for the step before the job board

Job boards serve people who are already close to an A&P. We focus on students, career changers, and military maintainers figuring out the first concrete steps.

Careful with the word "verified"

Specialty data, job listings, and costs are marked as samples or unverified until someone has actually checked them.

Where we are

This is an early version. We're talking with mechanics, schools, employers, and recent military maintainers, and we'll refine the content based on what we hear. Military specialty data is awaiting expert review, and job listings are samples for now.

Not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA, DoD, or any military branch. Information is general and may be out of date. The FAA alone determines eligibility for mechanic certificates.
